E.P.Thurai Football Association

                                 In the year 1949 Rev.Fr.John Panikal introduced in our Village . He Inaugrated  St.Catherine Football Team in front of the Parochial House. From that day itself our team members won the title from all over India.

                                Few Years later the villagers were in need of a library for that we requested the Govt. of Tamil Nadu and in 1958 new library was opened in our village .This is first library in Thoothoor and Kollencode Panchayats.The Library was started with News Papers such as Dhina Malar (Tamil) and Kerala Gowmathi (Malayalam). There was a Radio too.

                                Our first football team was formed in the year 1949. This is the first team in the coastal villages of Thiruvananthapuram District  (Kerala ) which now comes under Kanyakumari District (Tamil Nadu).From the beginning Our Players participated various tournaments throughout India and Won the Titles Many times .

                                 During 1962’s  our Players took interest for coaching our Neighbour Villagers and hence they formed a new Club named as Kennedy Rural Youth Club (K.R.Y.C). It was named so because Mr.John.F.Kennedy was The President of USA at that time also he loved football very much.Players from Eraviputhenthurai to Eraiyumenthurai unitedly played for this club and this was one among the most Unbeatable teams in Southern Kerala and Tamilnadu. The credit goes to Mr.Oliver Joy of Eraviputhenthurai who was the main person for forming this Club

                                  KRYC has successfully conducted nearly 15 tournaments . Teams from allover India Participated in this Tournaments .Especially FC Cochin, Eranakulam, VFA Valiathura, Nagercoil, Tirunelveli ,Chennai etc., are some of the teams Participated in KRYC tournaments.

                                  Later more People are interested in playing football and so KRYC was further partitioned to Several Clubs .In Eraviputhenthurai FASC  ( St. Francis Arts and Sports Club) came into existence.

                                  In  1990’s Eraviputhenthurai  Football Association was formed and till now our Players are the shining stars in the world of football.

                                   Our Players are playing for Indian Football Team, Tamilnadu Football Association , BSNL Tamilnadu., ICF Chennai, BSF Punjab., Port Trust Chennai., Madras Eagles etc.,
